PositionSubstitute Teachers
Hours7:15 AM – 2:45 PM (Hours may vary by building). Half-days may be available.
Salary$140/day — Non-Certified (per diem)
$170/day — Certified, Short-Term (6–20 weeks)
$230/day — Certified, Long-Term (20 weeks or more) — Benefits and STEP 1
Responsibilities- Supervise students safely in the classroom and/or shop
- Follow the lesson plan left by the teacher.
- Content area knowledge is not required.
- Bachelor's Degree
Candidate are not required to hold NYS Teacher Certification. Those possessing certification must submit a copy with this Application.
State Education Department Regulations:
Candidates that do not possess the NYSCertification will be limited to a maximum of 40 days of work.
