Enterprise Charter School is seeking Elementary School Teachers for the school year. The ideal candidate should have a Bachelor's Degree in Education and valid teaching certification. We are looking for highly motivated elementary teachers to join our team, especially for lower elementary classrooms (K-4). The ideal candidates will be enthusiastic, creative, and adaptable educators committed to inspiring students and fostering a positive learning environment.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Demonstrate an interest in working with students from diverse economic and cultural backgrounds.
- Remain empathetic to students’ previous experiences while holding them to high expectations.
- Create a positive, safe, and collaborative classroom environment.
- Continuously strengthen classroom community by investing students and families in school values.
- Prepare intellectually to effectively deliver the school’s curriculum and adopted materials, maximizing scholarly learning and social-emotional development.
- Attend all required meetings to ensure strong school wide communication and professional development.
- Participate in meetings with coach to support development, including observation and feedback, planning, and data meetings.
- Collaborate with coaches and peers to share best practices and build a strong adult culture.
- Adjust instruction to meet the unique needs of students, including supporting different learning styles and academic readiness.
- Model, teach, and uphold school-wide systems and structures.
- Participate in whole-school events and home visits to build trusting relationships with students and families.
- Demonstrated interest in impacting K-8 students in urban schools and communities.
- Understanding of formative and summative assessments.
- Demonstrated excellence in teaching.
- Skills in analyzing and using data to make instructional and behavioral decisions.
- Experience, knowledge, and background related to NYS Next Gen Standards.
- Bachelor’s Degree required;
Master’s preferred.
- Articulates and applies historical context of racism and understands current reality of students and communities of color to support racial equity.
- Accountable for students’ success and believes students must receive highest quality education to close achievement gap.
- Relentless commitment to mission of educating students.
- Actively demonstrates commitment to supporting diversity, equity, and inclusion.
- Serves as an advocate for racial equity with colleagues, parents, students, community, and external stakeholders.
- Demonstrates a racial equity mindset through bias awareness and leadership with a racial equity lens.
Enterprise Charter School offers a competitive salary, health benefits, and is a member of the NYS Teacher Retirement System. Our teaching salary scale starts at $46,350 for the school year.
