PositionArt Teacher for the 2026-27 school year, reporting to the High School Principal. Exempt, 10‑month position.

The CSAT teacher is responsible for communicating knowledge to students in an interesting, stimulating, and effective manner. The teacher must use a variety of instructional methodologies and curriculum resources to present material to students. Teachers will work as a team member, sharing common planning, professional development, curriculum design, and teaching responsibilities. They will administer different forms of student assessments, communicate with parents and other team members about student progress, and plan for further instruction.
Teachers will be reflective about their own practice and act as a coach for their team members when necessary. They will integrate technology into their teaching and professional activities.
- Implement school and district policies and procedures.
- Implement CSAT school performance standards.
- Collaborate with the team on curriculum and student needs.
- Create and maintain ongoing communication with parents.
- Work on curriculum development and implementation.
- Integrate technology into the instructional program and demonstrate professional use.
- Act as a coach/mentor to other teachers on the team in areas of personal expertise.
- Differentiate instruction to accommodate the needs of the student populations.
- Establish, nurture, and manage student‑directed classrooms where students work independently and in groups to supplement the curriculum.
- Develop and use rubrics for instruction and assessment of products and performances.
- Use technology tools for instruction, planning, and communication.
- Learn new uses and applications of technology tools.
- Create and manage a responsive learning environment that enables students to feel safe, be creative, and develop to their full potential.
- Write, implement, and evaluate your own professional development plans.
- Develop family‑school relationships that foster academic and social development of the child.
- Must have completed a bachelor’s degree in education and completed all required student‑teaching experiences.
- Must have at least two years of classroom experience with a satisfactory rating.
- Must have three positive recommendations from professional individuals.
- Strong background in classroom instruction and pedagogical skills.
- Highly organized and independent worker with excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with Professional Learning Communities (PLC).
- Superior skills to work with others and ability to be a team player.
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop and Illustrator) and web‑based graphic design tools (Canva).
- Prior instructional experience with these platforms.
- Experience with digital photography (DSLR and photo editing).
- Experience in differentiating instruction for varied skill levels and learning styles.
- A strong personal portfolio demonstrating skill and fluency with digital art forms.
