Teacher Aide RPT - Hoover Elementary

Hours: 8:45 a.m.

- 3:45 p.m. (6.5 hours per day, 32.5 hours per week) - 10 month duty schedule

• Graduation from high school or possession of a high school equivalency diploma, and
• additional experience and knowledge in a particular field where specialized duties are involved
• or have served in a community service organization, child-centered service or educational organization for a minimum of one (1) year
• or an equivalent combination of training and experience

• Assignment may vary based on building need and can include traditional classroom setting, special education programming, and/or personal care (1-to-1 or 2-to-1 support)
• assist student in transitioning throughout the building. Providestudentsupport inall academic areas, which may include: behavior modification programs through encouragement and emotional development
• provide direct supervision for student while attending academic classes and extracurricular activities
• provide guidance, support and proximity control throughout the realm of any given school day
• duties may include lifting, feeding, and personal care duties that may include toileting and personal hygiene as noted on the student's IEP. Assist with student instruction, focused on RTI. The building principal may assign additional duties as needed.
