Part-Time Teaching Assistant
Location:
Smallwood Drive School
Hours:
16.5 hours/week
Start Date:
September 8, 2026
Salary: $19.50/hour, plus payment for additional credit hours, if applicable
Description:
The Teaching Assistant will assist with routine classroom functions, assume teacher responsibilities, conduct classroom activities and assist with required paperwork in classrooms.
Qualifications:
- Teaching Assistants must have a Teaching Assistant Certification or NYS Teacher Certification or working towards either of these certifications.
- Must be fingerprinted by the NYS Department of Education Fingerprint Procedure - attached
- Experience working with elementary students preferred (K-5)
