Salary/Pay Scale: $45,729 (+ $2,200 Master's) per the CSUFSD TAC Contract
The successful candidate will:
In the Cheektowaga-Sloan UFSD, the faculty and staff are dedicated to creating a positive learning environment that recognizes all students' unique needs and talents by integrating character education with a critical-thinking curriculum. Responsibilities &
Skills:
- Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations, student observations, and diagnostic assessments for children across grades K-12 exhibiting a wide range of abilities and learning styles
- Write clear, compliant, and comprehensive psychological reports that translate complex psychometric data into actionable classroom recommendations
- Facilitate CSE, CPSE, and 504 meetings, guiding multi-disciplinary teams through eligibility determinations, accommodations, and program placements
- Design and execute Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) to identify the root causes of challenging classroom behaviors
- Formulate and monitor evidence-based Behavioral Intervention Plans (BIPs) to support student emotional regulation and maximize instructional time
- Actively participate in Child Study and Intervention Team meetings, bringing collaborative problem-solving insight to pre-referral cases
- Collect and interpret student and classroom data to accurately assess educational progress and evaluate environmental impacts on learning
- Implement Response to Intervention (RTI) protocols, leveraging robust data collection methods to guide multi-tiered academic and behavioral interventions
- Maintain meticulous records of students' special education reports, progress monitoring metrics, and services provided
- Training in Crisis Prevention Intervention (CPI) is preferred
- Maintain a safe, supportive learning environment
- Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent or her designee
Requirements:
- NYSED Certification as School Psychologist
- Experience in a K-12 setting is preferred
- Ability to facilitate CSE, CPSE, and 504 meetings and make decisions that are in the best interest of the students
