E. Prophet-Bullock, Ed.D., is interested in receiving applications from qualified candidates for the position of curriculum committee members for the following committee to serve as needed from August 2026 – August 2027
MUSIC GRADES K - 12
TO SERVE AS NEEDED FROM AUGUST 2026 - AUGUST 2027
DUTIES- Curriculum committee members will work directly with the Supervisor of Music.
- Curriculum committee members must be currently teaching K – 8 classroom music.
- Committees must complete a variety of assignments within a mandated time frame. Assignments include but are not limited to evaluating instructional materials and developing pertinent curriculum documents aligned to the New York State Learning Standards for the Arts.
- Committee members should be able to work evenings, Saturdays, and during the summer.
- Committee members may be requested to participate in professional development to turnkey and provide support to their music colleagues.
Candidates must hold a New York State certification in the subject area applied for, be currently employed with Buffalo Public Schools as a temporary, probationary, or tenured teacher, have experience in classroom music or instrumental music, and have knowledge of the New York State Learning Standards for the Arts.
APPOINTMENTAppointment will be made by the Board of Education upon the recommendation of the Superintendent following assessment of training, experience, certifications, credentials and evaluation of service. Personal interviews shall be scheduled where appropriate.
SALARYCommittee members will be paid at the contractual rate.
