Long-Term Substitute Middle School Social Studies Teacher
We are seeking an engaging, collaborative Long-Term Substitute Middle School Social Studies Teacher to lead our 8th grade social studies classes. The ideal candidate will create an inclusive classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, historical inquiry, and active citizenship.
- Deliver standards-based social studies curriculum
- Facilitate engaging, student-centered lessons that incorporate primary sources, project-based learning, and class discussions.
- Manage classroom behavior and foster a supportive, respectful environment for middle school learners.
- Assess student progress through assignments, projects, and tests, providing timely feedback.
- Maintain regular communication with school administration, parents, and grade-level teams regarding student growth and well-being.
- Follow established lesson plans when available and adapt materials as needed during the extended leave period.
