The University at Buffalo School of Law invites applications for a full-time, non-tenure track assistant clinical professor to direct its Family Violence and Women’s Right clinic, specifically in the areas of Domestic Violence and related Family Law. Three-year contract, indefinitely renewable if appropriate progress is achieved, with potential advancement to ranks of Associate Clinical Professor and Clinical Professor in subsequent contract terms.

Position

Responsibilities Include
  • All aspects of teaching, supervising, and directing a Domestic Violence and Family Law Clinic, including curriculum development and maintaining an active clinical legal practice within the local community.
  • Assisting with planning, drafting, applying for, and securing grants to support the clinic and clinical department.
  • Managing grants and state funding, including internal oversight for deadlines, records, and reporting as well as monitoring federal, state, and local grants in accordance with applicable standards, regulations, and guidelines.
  • Additional teaching obligations with an experiential focus.
  • Service obligations related to the program as well as departmental and university affiliations.
