Erie 1 BOCES seeks aClassroom Aide for our Northtowns Academy. Our programs employ trauma informed care, behavioral supports andsocial emotional needs for students who are struggling with trauma and mental health.
Job Description:- Teacher Aides working with non-ambulatory students are expected to lift 40- pound loads independently and may be required to lift/move students weighing more than 40 pounds with assistance from another adult and/or with the use of appropriate lifting devices.

NOTE:
The ability to lift/move students either independently or with assistance is a condition of employment for teacher aides who work with non-ambulatory students. Initial and periodic physical examinations will test this ability. Teacher aides should not attempt to lift more than one-third of their body weight without assistance from another adult or appropriate lifting devices.
