Job Description & How to Apply Below
EXO Talent Partners is supporting a leading aerospace manufacturer on a senior-level manufacturing engineering role focused on complex, precision-machined components for military aircraft programs.
This is a hands-on role
, not a desk-only engineering position. You’ll own manufacturing processes end-to-end and work closely with machining, quality, and engineering teams to develop and improve advanced 5-axis CNC operations.
- Lead manufacturing process development for complex 5-axis milled aerospace components
- Own CNC programming, operation sequencing, tooling, fixturing, and detailed work instructions
- Drive Design for Manufacturability (DFM) in partnership with design engineering
- Support and improve existing production through direct shop-floor engagement
- Estimate cycle times, labor standards, and cost for new and existing programs
- Evaluate and implement new equipment, automation, and manufacturing technologies
- Collaborate daily with engineering, operations, quality, and suppliers
- Lead projects and support continuous improvement within a dedicated manufacturing cell
- Strong hands-on experience with 5-Axis CNC Milling
- CAD/CAM programming experience (NX preferred; comparable systems considered)
- Proven end-to-end process engineering background (raw material → finished part)
- Hands-on machining experience, including setup and prove-out
- Experience machining aluminum, titanium, stainless steel, and similar materials
- Deep understanding of cutting tools, work holding, and fixture design
- Aerospace, defense, or other high-precision manufacturing experience preferred
- Willingness to work onsite in the Buffalo / East Aurora, NY area
- Annual profit sharing and bonus eligibility
- Relocation assistance (lump sum)
- 401(k) with company match
- Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision coverage
- Tuition assistance and long‑term career development opportunities
This is an opportunity to step into a high-impact manufacturing engineering role with real ownership, technical depth, and long‑term stability. You’ll work on mission‑critical aerospace programs where precision, execution, and engineering judgment matter.
