Job Summary

The Mechanical Engineer will support the design and development of large industrial process equipment used in pharmaceutical and related applications. This role focuses on pressure vessel design, mechanical system development, and engineering analysis while supporting equipment start-up, validation, and cross-functional project execution.

Key Responsibilities

• Apply pressure vessel design knowledge, including ASME Section VIII Div. 1, in the design of capital process equipment
• Design machinery and systems involving hydraulics, pneumatics, and aseptic process machine production
• Conduct stress analysis and finite element analysis (FEA)
• Work with stainless steel fabrication, piping, flow, heat transfer, instrumentation, controls, and refrigeration systems
• Develop and understand large industrial equipment for pharmaceutical and related applications
• Manage engineering projects, monitor cost variances, and collaborate with customers and internal teams
• Support equipment start-up and validation activities
• Promote and comply with SHEQ (Safety, Health, Environment, and Quality) requirements
• Experience with refrigeration systems and heat transfer applications
• Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
• Familiarity with vacuum systems and stainless steel fabrication
• Understanding of electrical distribution, automation, and control systems
• Advanced stress analysis and FEA capability
• Strong problem-solving skills and proactive mindset

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
• 5–10 years of relevant engineering experience
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage workload and drafting resources
• Proficiency in engineering computer tools and drawing/design software
• Ability to work independently with efficiency and strong communication skills
