Job Description & How to Apply Below

My client has been in business for over 70 years and has a great reputation for promoting a true "work/life" balance philosophy. Excellent synergy within and between departments. We're looking for that next skilled Manufacturing Engineer with a discipline and experience on the electrical engineering side.

You will play a key role in ensuring the efficient and reliable production of our electro-mechanical products. You’ll provide hands‑on technical support to production, improve manufacturing processes, and contribute to the development of new products. This position requires a strong understanding of mechanical and electronic manufacturing principles and the ability to translate engineering designs into efficient production methods.

Responsibilities
  • Provide production teams with technical support, training, and guidance related to the product line and manufacturing processes.
  • Create, develop, and improve standard operating procedures, work instructions, and process documentation through the Engineering Change Notification (ECN) system.
  • Evaluate and improve manufacturing methods by applying knowledge of product design, materials, tooling, assembly methods, and quality standards.
  • Perform detailed engineering analyses, calculations, and reports to support design and process decisions.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve critical production issues to maintain quality and output.
  • Develop and validate new processes that reduce costs, improve quality, and increase efficiency.
  • Identify emerging technologies and implement improvements in manufacturing practices.
  • Support the design, build, and analysis of prototype components and assemblies.
  • Participate in Root Cause/Corrective Action initiatives to address design and process issues.
  • Assist in preparing Bills of Material (BOMs), manufacturing routers, and production documentation.
  • Train production personnel on new or revised work instructions and assembly methods.
  • Support procurement of raw materials and purchased parts through product requirement reviews.
  • Collaborate with sales, production, and engineering teams to ensure product documentation accuracy and manufacturing readiness.
Education & Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Mechanical, or related field) or 15+ years of relevant experience required.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing engineering, preferably in aerospace or other highly regulated electro‑mechanical production environments.
Technical Skills & Knowledge
  • Strong understanding of electro‑mechanical systems, instrumentation, and assembly methods.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Solid Works 3D modeling.
  • Knowledge of Dimensional Stack‑Up, Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, Visio, Project, PowerPoint).
  • Familiarity with NASA, Military, and EEE part selection specifications.
  • Knowledge of material specifications, statistical analysis, and manufacturing best practices.
  • Experience planning assembly operations and writing detailed shop floor routings and work instructions.
  • Experience with soldering, welding, and other electro‑mechanical assembly operations preferred.
  • Excellent troubleshooting and critical‑thinking skills.
  • Strong organizational, multitasking, and communication abilities.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Capable of interpreting and creating mechanical/electrical drawings, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
  • Demonstrated teamwork, initiative, and problem‑solving skills.
  • Physical Requirements / Working Conditions
  • Frequent need to operate a computer and recognize physical parts.
Additional Requirements

Due to frequent access to U.S. Government program information, you MUST be a U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident.
