Our Space and Defense Group is the operating group with the longest heritage at Moog and serves ever-evolving markets with ongoing innovation that allows for constantly developing technology and excellent career opportunities.  Our Space division in East Aurora, NY is looking for a Senior Quality Engineer – Systems and Audits Specialist to join our dynamic team! This Senior Quality Engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure QMS operational efficiency and audit readiness for our Fluid Controls Business Unit.
** As our Senior Quality Engineer – Systems and Audits Specialist, you will make critical contributions by holding responsibility for:
*** Review, assess, and provide guidance on QMS processes.
* Select and lead initiatives to modernize and optimize QMS process, working process owners and stakeholders, as required.
* Mentor and train cross-functional teams on QMS processes, tools, and methods.
* Create or revise QMS documentation, as needed.
* Ensure AS9100 and customer audit readiness for the Fluid Controls Business Unit.
* Support customer and third-party audit support, including leading corrective action investigations for QMS related findings.
* Monitor Quality Process KPIs
* Support additional improvement initiatives, as requested
** To be considered for the Senior Quality Engineer – Systems and Audits Specialist role, you will need to bring with you:
*** Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related technical field plus 5 years of relevant experience~OR~
* At least 8 years previous Quality experience in lieu of the degree~PLUS~
* At least three years in process improvement, audits, and/or quality systems.
* Proficiency in quality tools (e.g., 8D, A3, 5-Why, Fishbone, Fault Tree).
* Solid working knowledge of AS9100/ISO
9001; experience with AS9145/APQP preferred.
* Strong analytical and prioritization skills.
* Excellent stakeholder management and communication abilities.
