Buffalo, NY – Western New York Science & Technology Advanced Manufacturing Park (STAMP).
Edwards Genesee facility address: 6685 Crosby Rd, Basom, NY 14013.
Salary Range: $70,000‑$97,000, compensation may vary based on qualifications, skills, experience, and location.
The Sr. Manufacturing Engineer develops and implements new processes and capabilities to reduce product cost of assembly operations.
Essential Functions- Work closely with Korean engineers and equipment vendors to understand current processes at existing pump facilities in Korea.
- Implement processes at the new plant in Genesee, NY, including qualification, installation, and validation of new equipment and associated documentation.
- Assist with specification, location, acquisition, and installation of new equipment.
- Provide manufacturing engineering support to the operational team.
- Implement data system changes and maintain data system integrity (change orders, non‑conformance tracking, system routings).
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives supporting safety, quality, delivery, productivity, and cost performance.
- Perform time studies for assembly processes to create accurate routings and optimize process balancing.
- Define, set up, prepare, and optimize job orders and manufacturing tooling.
- Interface with colleagues, customers, vendors to understand requirements, assess feasibility of new/existing products, and improve production techniques.
- Create and maintain SOPs, technical specifications for equipment, and test specs.
- Document designs with drawings, specifications, and materials lists.
- Train process, procedures, documentation, and traceability to sustain workforce competencies within manufacturing cells.
- Maintain punctual, regular attendance and collaborate in a team environment.
- Respectively take direction from supervisor/manager and perform additional duties as assigned.
- Initially report to the Project Manager in Genesee, NY; transition to report to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager as site staff is implemented.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, mechanical or manufacturing preferred; industry experience considered.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years in manufacturing, machining, assembly or operations environment.
- Knowledge: Kaizen, 6S, Lean Manufacturing; advanced Excel, Word, AutoCAD, Project, Solidworks; ERP systems (SAP beneficial).
- Communication: Strong English verbal and written skills;
Korean language a benefit. - Project management and leading improvement projects.
