As an Electrical Design Engineer, Test Equipment in our Space & Defense Group you will be responsible for the design and development of hydraulic, electro‑hydraulic, electro‑mechanical, servo‑mechanism, and electro‑pneumatic components and systems used to test Moog products on military, commercial, and space vehicles.
Responsibilities- Operate as a key member of a creative, independent team.
- Collaborate with internal customers to develop new test equipment.
- Validate concepts through trade studies and analyses.
- Integrate electronics into systems and test completed designs.
- Support and guide Assembly and Test technicians during development.
- Contribute to work estimates for design and development efforts.
- Maintain engineering records, change documentation, and evaluate performance impacts.
- Initiate and conduct specialized research independently.
- Create reliable designs via comprehensive experimental development test programs.
- Document designs, analyses, and test results in concise reports.
- Demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 2 years of relevant technical experience.
- Self‑motivated, critical‑thinking, and strong analytical skills.
- DOORS experience is a plus.
- Ability to access U.S. export‑controlled information.

Buffalo, NY $70,000.00–$ Annually
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range(s) listed is just one component of Moog's total compensation package for employees. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and many region‑specific benefits.
