Role OverviewAs a Sr. Systems Engineer, Test Equipment in our Space & Defense Group in East Aurora, NY, you will be responsible for design and development of hydraulic, electro‑hydraulic, electro‑mechanical, servo‑mechanism, and electro‑pneumatic components and systems used to test Moog products. This position involves designing and developing new test equipment, assemblies, and processes to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals, and verifying functional performance of products for military, commercial, and space vehicles.
Responsibilities- Work closely with internal program teams to provide design of specialized test equipment, systems architecture, interface definition, and requirements validation.
- Lead the design process and provide technical leadership within Moog’s program scope.
- Develop system‑level requirements, support decomposition to component levels, and lead verification of the test equipment.
- Design linear/rotary test equipment systems in support of development and production hardware.
- Use MATLAB/Simulink to construct, understand, and exercise system models to predict performance and manage margins.
- Perform hardware correlation, system integration and verification testing.
- Coordinate and support the assembly of test equipment.
- Mentor junior engineers as appropriate.
- Bachelor of Science in Engineering with minimum 8 years relevant technical experience, or Associate's Degree in Engineering with minimum 12 years relevant experience.
- Self‑motivation, critical thinking, and strong analytical skills.
- Demonstrated strong technical written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to access U.S. export‑controlled information.
- Experience with DOORS and Cameo is a plus.

Buffalo, NY: $–$ Annually
The base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, and other regional benefits.
