A position is available for an Electronic Technician to support a manufacturing test department. The successful candidate will test products that are components in Electronic Warfare simulation systems and perform assembly duties as required. This role is for the 2nd Shift, operating from 4:00 PM to 12:30 AM.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine technical functions related to the support of development engineering activities, including design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly of electronics and electro‑mechanical systems.
- Work from schematics, diagrams, and written or verbal descriptions to perform routine testing, checkout, and troubleshooting.
- Conduct prototype building, environmental testing, and developmental engineering tasks under supervision.
- Perform routine operational tests and fault isolation on development systems to ensure conformance with design specifications.
- Diagnose and isolate malfunctions down to the component level.
- Conduct defined engineering tests and collect data as assigned.
- Utilize development or diagnostic equipment including oscilloscopes, VOMs, DVMs, and signal generators.
Education & Experience: Candidates must meet one of the following criteria: 4 years of relevant experience; an Associate’s degree in an electronic field of study plus 2 years of related experience; or 2 years of military electronic schooling plus 2 years of related experience.
Technical Skills- Experience testing and troubleshooting RF and digital equipment.
- Experience working with test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers.
- Manual dexterity with the ability to handle and assemble small parts.
- Hands‑on use of drawings, wire lists, source control drawings, or test procedures.
- Experience working with microelectronics and performing tuning under a microscope.
- Experience working with engineering teams.
- Experience with soldering and electronic assembly processes.
- Working knowledge of defense electronics, with a preference for Electronic Warfare systems.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Experience working in a performance-based and metrics-driven culture.
The pay rate for this position is between $ and $ per hour. Specific compensation will be determined based on experience and qualifications. Benefits may be available to eligible employees.
