Electronic Technician

PGS Worldwide is seeking an Electronics Test Technician in Buffalo, New York for a one-year contract-to-hire role supporting a leading aerospace & defense company. This onsite 2nd shift position supports manufacturing test operations for components used in electronic warfare simulation systems. The role focuses on testing, troubleshooting, fault isolation, data collection, and assembly support in a production environment.

Required Skills

• 4 years of relevant experience, or an associate’s degree in an electronic field plus 2 years of related experience, or 2 years of U.S. military electronic schooling plus 2 years of related experience
• Experience testing and troubleshooting RF and digital equipment
• Experience using test equipment such as spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, and network analyzers
• Manual dexterity with the ability to handle and assemble small parts
• U.S. citizenship required

Preferred Skills

• Hands-on experience using drawings, wire lists, source control drawings, or test procedures
• Experience working with microelectronics and performing tuning under a microscope
• Experience working with engineering teams
• Experience with soldering and electronic assembly processes
• Working knowledge of defense electronics, preferably electronic warfare systems
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Experience working in a performance-based, metrics-driven environment

What You’ll Do

• Perform routine technical functions supporting development engineering activities including design, test, checkout, fabrication, modification, and assembly
• Test products used as components in electronic warfare simulation systems
• Support assembly duties as needed for workflow
• Work from schematics, diagrams, layouts, written instructions, and verbal guidance
• Perform routine testing, checkout, troubleshooting, prototype building, and environmental testing
• Conduct routine operational tests and fault isolation to ensure conformance with design specifications
• Diagnose and isolate malfunctions to the component level
• Conduct defined engineering tests and collect assigned data
• Use diagnostic and development equipment including oscilloscopes, VOMs, DVMs, signal generators, and similar test apparatus

• Monday through Friday
• 4:00 PM - 12:30 AM

Pay

• $65.21/hour
