Automation & Mechatronics Engineer
Our client, a leading automotive manufacturing organization, is seeking a Controls Engineer to join their team. As a Controls Engineer, you will be part of the Manufacturing Engineering team supporting production, maintenance, and automation operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem‑solving skills, effective communication abilities, and a high level of ownership which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Controls Engineer
Location: Buffalo NY
Pay Range: $47.61/hr.
- $54.45/hr.
What’s the Job?
Design, program, troubleshoot, and support PLC‑based automation control systems.
Develop and maintain electrical wiring diagrams, control panels, and automation documentation.
Provide technical support for manufacturing equipment, automation systems, and production‑related controls issues.
Support installation, startup, debugging, and optimization of control systems and automation equipment.
Coordinate with maintenance, production, contractors, and engineering teams to ensure successful project execution.
What’s Needed?
Minimum 2 years of experience programming Allen‑Bradley Rockwell PLCs (RSLogix 5000 and/or Studio 5000), Siemens PLCs (TIA Portal/S7), and Ladder Logic.
Ability to read, interpret, and troubleshoot electrical schematics and machine control circuits.
Experience troubleshooting automation equipment in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Understanding of Ethernet/IP industrial networks and basic robot programming experience (Fanuc experience preferred).
Legal authorization to work in the United States without current or future employer sponsorship.
