Prime Management Group Inc. is proud to be recruiting a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer on behalf of an influential company in the Buffalo Region. As a key member of the engineering team, the Mechanical Design Engineer will take ownership of mechanical drafting and design for new projects, working closely with cross-functional teams to bring high-concept products into production. This role requires an experienced, technically minded professional with a strong aptitude for prototyping, mechanical systems, and detailed design documentation

The successful candidate will also:

• Design and draft mechanical systems and components for manufacturing
• Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to meet project milestones
• Develop prototypes and conduct testing for performance and durability
• Prepare costed Bills of Materials (BOMs)
• Follow applicable industry standards and internal design procedures
• Assist in creating fixtures and tools to support manufacturing processes
• Monitor timelines to ensure project delivery aligns with production and showcase dates

Qualifications:

The ideal candidate is an experienced design professional with a hands-on approach and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. A background in manufacturing and experience with mechanical systems is essential for success in this role.

• Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering (BS or ASS)10+ years of experience in a similar design engineering role
• Proficient with Solid Works, PDM, and Microsoft Office Suite
• Strong organizational and project management skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities
• Experience working within industry compliance and safety standards
