• Salary Range: $70,270 - $87,840 Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and location.

Your Role

The EHS Specialist ensures full compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, industry standards, and company policies. This individual acts as a subject matter expert, providing guidance and oversight on EHS matters to employees, contractors, suppliers, and visitors throughout the facility.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regulatory Compliance:
    Monitor and interpret EHS regulations relevant to semiconductor equipment manufacturing, including OSHA, EPA, and state/local agencies. Ensure all operations comply with applicable laws and requirements.
  • Risk Assessments:
    Conduct thorough risk assessments and hazard analyses for all manufacturing processes, particularly those involving chemicals, high-voltage equipment, compressed gases, and cleanroom environments. Collaborate with engineering and production teams to identify and mitigate hazards.
  • Incident Investigation:
    Lead investigations of EHS incidents, accidents, and near-misses. Document findings, determine root causes, and recommend corrective and preventative actions. Track implementation and effectiveness of solutions.
  • Auditing & Inspections:
    Plan and execute regular EHS audits and inspections of the facility, equipment, and operations. Maintain accurate records, follow-up on non-conformances, and report findings to the EHS Manager.
  • Training &

    Education:

    Develop, deliver, and track EHS training programs for employees and contractors, including orientation, ongoing refresher courses, and specialized training for hazardous materials, lockout/tagout, and emergency response.
  • Environmental Management:
    Oversee waste management, air emissions, water discharge, and chemical storage practices to minimize environmental impact and ensure compliance.
  • Emergency Preparedness:
    Update and implement emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, spill control, fire safety, and first aid. Organize regular drills and ensure all personnel are adequately trained.
  • Reporting:
    Prepare and submit EHS reports for regulatory agencies, internal stakeholders, and company leadership. Maintain logs of incidents, inspections, training, and permit renewals.
  • PPE Oversight:
    Evaluate personal protective equipment (PPE) needs according to task and environment, procure appropriate gear, and verify compliance with usage protocols.
  • Collaboration:

    Work cross-functionally with Production, Engineering, Maintenance, Human Resources, and external partners to integrate EHS into all aspects of facility operations.
  • Continuous Improvement:
    Champion EHS best practices, lead process improvement initiatives, and contribute new ideas to enhance safety culture and environmental stewardship.
  • Contractor & Supplier Oversight:
    Review and approve EHS plans for contractors and suppliers working on-site. Conduct pre-job briefings and assess compliance during project execution.

• Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. Equivalent professional experience may be considered.
