Moog SDG in East Aurora, NY is looking for a Technical Writer to join our dynamic team. Internally known as a Configuration Management Coordinator II, this person will be responsible for the proficient and accurate creation and maintenance of design and manufacturing documentation using the Team Center ERP system, under the general direction of the Sr. Engineering Manager.
Responsibilities- Creation and review of technical documents.
- Creation and tracking of Engineering/Document Change Requests.
- Creation and maintenance of SharePoint pages and document repositories.
- Digitizing heritage design files.
- HS diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience within a similar role in manufacturing, engineering or quality documentation.
- Quality conscious attitude and basic mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to read engineering drawings, sketches, and wiring schematics.
- Proficient skills in SharePoint and Microsoft Office software (i.e. Word, Excel).
- A Bachelor’s degree in a technical field OR an Associate’s degree in a technical field and 2+ years experience.
- Ability to create figures from engineering models in NX/Solidworks/Cadra.
- Working knowledge of Teamcenter, CRDM, iWIN and/or Subversion software.
- Experience working with CUI or export‑controlled information.
