Facilities Project Manager

A manufacturer in the Buffalo/Niagara Falls area is seeking an experienced Facilities
Project Manager to join their team. This role is responsible for leading facility maintenance, capital improvement, and construction projects from planning through completion while ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. The ideal candidate will have a strong project management background within a manufacturing or industrial environment and experience coordinating contractors, facility infrastructure projects, and cross-functional teams.

Salary: $115,000 - $145,000 annually

• Manage multiple facility maintenance, renovation, and capital improvement projects simultaneously.
• Define project scope, develop schedules, budgets, cost estimates, and project documentation.
• Coordinate project execution while monitoring timelines, budgets, and overall project performance.
• Manage contractors throughout the bidding process, negotiations, construction, and project closeout.
• Prepare purchase orders, capital requests, and maintain accurate project records and documentation.
• Ensure projects comply with company standards, building codes, OSHA regulations, and safety requirements.
• Support facility expansion initiatives, equipment installations, and infrastructure improvement projects.
• Oversee facility systems including HVAC, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, compressed air, cooling water, and life safety systems.
• Collaborate with operations, engineering, maintenance, quality, safety, sourcing, and accounting teams to ensure successful project execution.
• Maintain and update facility drawings, AutoCAD files, and related documentation.

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Science, or a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
• 5+ years of project management experience within a manufacturing, facilities, industrial, or construction environment.
• Experience managing capital projects from planning through implementation.
• Strong knowledge of facility infrastructure, construction methods, and manufacturing operations.
• Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Experience managing contractors, competitive bidding, RFIs, change orders, and project schedules.
• Working knowledge of OSHA regulations, building codes, NFPA standards, and the National Electrical Code.
• Familiarity with architectural, civil, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and environmental systems.
• Experience with utility systems including compressed air, chilled water, and cooling towers is preferred.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Microsoft Office, MS Project, or similar project management software.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills with the ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously.
