Nature & ScopePositional Overview
Our client is seeking a Lead Project Manager to oversee complex engineer-to-order manufacturing projects from order release through final delivery. This individual will lead cross‑functional teams across Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Sales while serving as the primary customer contact throughout the project lifecycle.
Role & Responsibility Tasks That Will Lead To Your Success- Lead complex engineer-to-order manufacturing projects from order release through final delivery.
- Coordinate Engineering, Manufacturing, Planning, Procurement, Quality, and Sales to achieve project milestones.
- Serve as the primary customer contact and manage project communications, schedules, risks, and deliverables.
- Review customer specifications, P&IDs, piping layouts, fabrication drawings, pressure vessel documentation, and engineering change requests.
- Manage project budgets, forecasting, profitability, contract changes, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate manufacturing activities including welding, machining, fabrication, assembly, hydrotesting, and final inspection.
- Ensure compliance with customer specifications, ASME codes, inspection and test plans, and quality requirements.
- Mentor junior project managers while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or related technical discipline.
- PMP certification required.
- 5–8+ years of project management experience in engineer-to-order manufacturing environments.
- Experience managing projects involving pressure vessels, heat exchangers, industrial process equipment, piping systems, or similar capital equipment.
- Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, engineering drawings, fabrication drawings, and technical specifications.
- Strong understanding of ASME codes, welding, fabrication, machining, manufacturing processes, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
- Excellent leadership, communication, customer management, and organizational skills.
- Experience with ERP systems (Plex preferred) and Microsoft Project or similar scheduling tools.
- Experience supporting chemical processing, power generation, oil & gas, HVAC, or industrial manufacturing environments.
- Cross‑functional leadership role partnering with Engineering, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality, and Sales.
- Opportunities to visit customer and supplier sites as needed.
