** Senior Mechanical Design Engineer - Test Equipment
** in our Space & Defense Group you will be responsible for design and development of hydraulic, electro-hydraulic, electro-mechanical, servo-mechanism, and electro-pneumatic components and systems that will be used to test the products of Moog, Inc. This position is responsible for design and development of new electrical test equipment, assemblies, and/or processes to meet cost, schedule, and performance goals. You will contribute to the design of test equipment to verify functional performance of products used on military, commercial, and space vehicles.

** This position can be located in either East Aurora, NY or Arvada, CO.

** you will be responsible for:
* Operate as key element in a team of creative, independent individuals.
* Contribute to the development of new test equipment through consulting with internal customers.
* Design hydraulic / pneumatic schematics to support new test system designs.
* Integrate hydraulic components into higher level test systems.
* Prepare, support, and guide the work of Assembly and Test technicians supporting your
* development activities.
* Contribute on work estimates for design and development efforts.
* Maintain engineering records, changes made and effects of changes on performance.
* Independently initiate and perform specialized research.
* Create reliable designs through a comprehensive experimental development test program.
* Document designs, analyses, and test results with accurate and concise reports.
* Shares values of “teamwork is a must” and thus good communication is key.
* Coordinate and support the assembly of test equipment.
* Mentor younger engineers where and when appropriate
