The Opportunity
Our client is seeking a Senior Project Manager (or experienced Project Manager) to support ongoing growth and strengthen operational capabilities within a growing regional team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in:
- Supporting project delivery and execution
- Providing technical leadership and mentorship to junior staff
- Strengthening team structure and collaboration
- Acting as a senior resource for both clients and internal project teams
This position is ideally suited to a professional with approximately 10-15+ years of experience, although flexibility exists for the right individual.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage geotechnical projects from subsurface investigation through final reporting and recommendations
- Coordinate and oversee field exploration and testing programs
- Prepare and review geotechnical engineering reports
- Provide QA/QC oversight for project deliverable
- Serve as a primary point of contact for clients
- Support staff development through mentoring and technical guidance
- Assist with project planning, resource management, and operational efficiency initiatives
What They're Looking For
- 6-15+ years of geotechnical engineering experience
- Strong background managing private-sector and commercial development projects
- Demonstrated project management and client-facing experience
- Experience with subsurface investigations, foundation recommendations, and geotechnical reporting
- Ability to provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineering teams
- Comfortable working within a delivery-oriented consulting environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- PE license preferred (other relevant registrations and certifications considered based on experience eg EIT)
- Experience working for consulting firms focused on commercial geotechnical engineering and land development projects
