General Responsibilities:
As a Project Engineer, you will play a vital role in delivering geotechnical engineering solutions to our clients. You will be responsible for managing and executing projects, ensuring high-quality deliverables, and providing technical expertise. EssentialRoles and Responsibilities:
- Manage and lead geotechnical engineering projects from inception to completion.
- Provide geotechnical design parameters for shallow and deep foundations, retaining structures, and other geotechnical elements.
- Conduct field investigations, soil testing, and laboratory analyses.
- Prepare technical reports and engineering recommendations for clients.
- Ensure compliance with relevant codes, standards, and regulations, including LRFD (Load and Resistance Factor Design) guidelines.
- Communicate effectively with clients, colleagues, and external stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver solutions.
- Mentor and guide less experienced engineers and technicians on the team.
- Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in geotechnical engineering.
- Maintain a safe and healthy work environment, adhering to all safety protocols.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in geotechnical engineering, with a strong technical background.
- A valid NY PE (Professional Engineer) license is required.
- Experience in transportation projects and familiarity with LRFD is preferred.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
- Proficiency in geotechnical engineering software and tools.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- A bachelor's or master's degree in Civil Engineering or a related field.
- Willingness to travel for field investigations and project meetings as required.
