General Duties
- Prepareplumbingandfireprotectionsystemdesigns,including layouts,calculations,and specifications
- Performengineeringcomputationssuchaspipesizing,flowandpressurecalculations,fixtureunitanalysis,andpreliminaryhydrauliccalculations
- Reviewarchitecturalandstructuraldrawingstocoordinatesystemrouting,equipmentspacerequirements,and penetrations
- Coordinatewitharchitects,mechanicalandelectricalengineers,andotherprojectconsultants
- Participateindesignmeetingsandclearlycommunicatetechnicalrequirements
- Assistseniorstaffinevaluatingdesignalternativesandcostimplications
- Reviewshopdrawingsandsubmittalsforconformancewithdesignintent
- RespondtocontractorRFIsandprovideclarificationsduringconstruction
- Conductsitevisitstoobserveinstallationprogressandverifycompliancewithdrawingsandspecifications
- Assistwithfunctionaltesting,punchlists,andprojectcloseoutdocumentation
- EnsureworkcomplieswithinternalQA/QCproceduresandmaintainorganizedprojectfiles
- Experiencewithsystemmodeling,hydraulic calculations,andBIM(Revit) preferred
- FamiliaritywithNFPAstandards,building codes,andengineeringbestpractices
- Bachelor of Sciencein Mechanical Engineering ,Fire Protection Engineering ,orrelateddiscipline
- Engineer-in-Training(E.I.T.)requiredoractivelypursuing;
P.E.track preferred - 2–5yearsofplumbingand/orfireprotectionsystemdesignexperienceinbuildingprojects
The expected base salary range for this role is $72,500 – $87,360 per year. Actual compensation will be determined based on a number of factors including skills, experience, qualifications, and location.

Bachelors or better in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
Experience Required 2-5 years:2–5 years of plumbing and/or fire protection system design experience in building projects
Licenses & Certifications Required PreferredProfessional Engineer
