Mott Mac Donald is looking for professionals to join our ever-expanding transportation team here in the Western New York area. We are currently looking for a Construction Inspector I/II interested in highway, bridge, and other related transportation construction projects. The successful candidate will have a basic understanding of construction industry standards and practices in the transportation sector and be interested in acquiring experience and expertise on large scale highway and bridge construction projects.

• Haveinterestina diverse range ofconstructionprojectsincluding but not limited tobridge, highway, culvert,andrelatedtransportation improvement projects.
• Bedetail oriented anddemonstratethe abilityto manage multiple tasksat a time.
• Possessappropriatelevelofeducation and/or experience.
• Have valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.

• Candidate will report tosenior level inspection staff andassistwithmonitoring ofdaily construction activities, tracking and reporting quantity usage, and preparingdailyworkreportsas needed.
• Verify conformance of materials supplied bycontractorwith standard specifications and contract documents.
• Interpret construction drawings and specifications on projects as needed.
• Must be willing toworkweekends and/orweeknightsas necessary.

• 0-5yearsinspection experience related to highway and bridge construction including
  
  NewYork State Department of Transportation,New York State Thruway Authority,and/orlocally-administered
  
  Federal-Aid projects.
• Proficiencyincollecting data,interpreting plans,conducting field measurements,performing calculations,and documenting work performed by contractor.
• Proficiency with standard softwareapplicationsand ability to learnnewprograms.
• Associates Degree in Civil Engineering/Technologyor Bachelor Degree in Civil Engineering/Technology.
• Good organizational andinterpersonalcommunication skills.

Individual pay is determined based on several factors such as work location, education, experience, and unique skills.

The expected salary for this position is $75,000 - $84,000.
