Work Location:
Metro Self-Storage

Buffalo, NY 14209
Schedule:
- Full-time position
- Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday 8:45pm to 5:30pm
- Sat: 9:00am to 4:30pm
- Wednesday and Sunday OFF
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming facility: Handle day-to-day upkeep of buildings and outdoor areas, including painting, floor care, lawn maintenance, snow removal, and basic repairs, to ensure everything looks great and works as it should.
- Prepare vehicles for customer use or storage: Clean, detail, and inspect vehicles, checking tires, batteries, and more, so they're ready for smooth hand-offs and secure storage.
- Assist with Jeep Top services: Help customers with add-on services like Jeep top installations or removals. Full training is provided.
- Be a friendly, helpful presence at the front desk: Answer phones, greet visitors, process payments, and assist with rental agreements, making sure customers feel supported every step of the way.
- Guide customers through the storage process: Show available units, explain options, and answer questions to help people choose the right fit for their needs.
- Keep equipment in working order: Perform light maintenance and cleaning on facility tools and systems to ensure safety and reliability.
- Jump in where needed: Support your team by handling other tasks as they come up, helping the facility run smoothly day to day.
Salary
- $20-$25 per hour, depending on experience
We're looking for candidates with the following skills, abilities, and interests:
- Enjoys helping people and communicates clearly
- Stays focused and productive, even with routine tasks
- Manages time well and follows through on responsibilities
- Comfortable with basic computer programs/systems and able to learn new software quickly
- Minimum:
High School Diploma or equivalent - Preferred:
Prior janitorial, maintenance, or customer service experience
- Regularly stands, walks, runs, bends, crouches, stretches, and reaches throughout the day.
- Frequently climbs stairs, ramps, and ladders.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 25 lbs frequently, 50 lbs occasionally, and 100 lbs rarely.
- Able to move through tight or confined spaces, including between closely parked vehicles.
- Requires good hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity to operate tools, equipment, and office technology.
- Must have adequate hearing and vision to communicate and perform job tasks effectively.
- Comfortable working in indoor environments where temperatures may range from 50°F to 85°F.
