Overview
Withum’s Tax Services Group is a team of tax specialists dedicated to ensuring accurate, timely tax reporting and minimizing tax payments. Our services span Business, Individual, State & Local tax, R&D Tax Credit, International and Private Client tax solutions. As a Trust and Estate Tax Manager based in any of our office locations you will lead tax engagements, supervise staff, and build client relationships.
Responsibilities- Review and prepare individual, trust, partnership, and corporate tax returns for accuracy.
- Research and draft memoranda on complex tax matters.
- Identify and implement tax planning opportunities.
- Handle and resolve tax controversies.
- Oversee complete tax research projects for diverse clients and industries.
- Manage multiple engagements concurrently with various teams to meet client deadlines.
- Conduct constructive discussions with team members on evaluations and provide counsel.
- Serve in professional development programs as an instructor or discussion leader.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting.
- CPA license, JD, or Master of Science in Taxation is required.
- At least 5 years of prior experience in a public accounting tax department, leading multiple engagements and supervising staff.
- Excellent analytical and technical tax skills.
- Exceptional client service and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to develop and maintain outstanding client relationships.
- Ability to manage multiple engagements and competing projects in a fast‑paced, interactive, results‑based team environment.
- Strong leadership, training, and mentoring skills, coupled with excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and project management skills with strong attention to detail.
- Ability to travel as needed.
