Controller; CFO Track – Commercial Construction

CVM is seeking a Controller to lead accounting and finance operations and provide clear visibility into job costs, project profitability, and cash flow. This is a high‑impact, hands‑on role with a clear path to CFO, working closely with ownership, operations, and project managers.

• Own month‑end close, financial reporting, and GAAP compliance
• Oversee job costing, WIP, percent‑complete revenue recognition, and margin analysis
• Partner with operations on billing, change orders, and collections
• Develop budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
• Deliver actionable financial insights to ownership, the Board, and PE partners
• Drive financial systems, controls, and process improvements
• Build and lead a scalable finance team

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
• 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
• Strong construction / job‑cost accounting background (WIP, % complete)
• Experience owning close, reporting, audits, and tax processes
• Hands‑on mindset with strong Excel and systems experience
• Interest in building and modernizing a finance function

Compensation: $120,000 – $140,000 base salary, plus benefits and equity incentive compensation
