The OpportunityCVM is seeking a Controller to lead accounting and finance operations and provide clear visibility into job costs, project profitability, and cash flow. This is a high‑impact, hands‑on role with a clear path to CFO, working closely with ownership, operations, and project managers.
Key Responsibilities- Own month‑end close, financial reporting, and GAAP compliance
- Oversee job costing, WIP, percent‑complete revenue recognition, and margin analysis
- Partner with operations on billing, change orders, and collections
- Develop budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections
- Deliver actionable financial insights to ownership, the Board, and PE partners
- Drive financial systems, controls, and process improvements
- Build and lead a scalable finance team
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA preferred)
- 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
- Strong construction / job‑cost accounting background (WIP, % complete)
- Experience owning close, reporting, audits, and tax processes
- Hands‑on mindset with strong Excel and systems experience
- Interest in building and modernizing a finance function
Compensation: $120,000 – $140,000 base salary, plus benefits and equity incentive compensation
