ASSOCIATE FINANCIAL PLANNER (Permanent) Our client, a local wealth management firm in WNY, is looking to add an Associate Financial Planner to their growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for professional growth, long-term stability, and an excellent work-life balance.
Responsibilities- Perform daily support to Senior Financial Advisors in developing thorough financial plans for clients
- Gather critical data from clients in order to appropriately advise on retirement projections, tax considerations, estate planning, investment analysis, etc.
- Ensure all client data is input into financial planning systems—eMoney—accurately and in a timely manner
- Utilize client information and advisor discussions to draft initial financial plans
- Prepare necessary materials/information packets for client meetings to ensure thoughtful, professional presentations are delivered
- Act as the initial point of contact for clients, answering questions, addressing/escalating issues, gathering required documentation, and following up as necessary
- Manage client files, ensuring records are meticulously maintained in Redtail CRM
- Regularly review planning outputs to ensure compliance, accuracy, and firm standards are maintained
- Collaborate with internal team members to ensure client satisfaction is achieved at all times
- Complete special projects as needed
- Other duties as assigned/as necessary
- Position is full-time, direct hire
- 100% in-office
- Standard 40 hours/week
- $65,000 - $80,000 annually depending on experience; bonus eligibility after one year
- Bachelor’s Degree required (discipline in Finance, Business, or related)
- CFP or active pursuit of certification is a plus
- 2-3 years’ experience in financial planning or paraplanning in a wealth management firm
- Sound understanding of financial planning concepts, retirement, tax planning, estate planning, insurance, investments, etc.
- Experience using eMoney or similar financial planning software is preferred
- Strong communication skills; comfortable making presentations to clients
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Self-motivated
- Relocation not available
