Accounts Receivable Specialist

Description We are looking for an experienced Accounts Receivable Specialist to join our team in Buffalo, New York. This Contract to permanent position offers an excellent opportunity to contribute your skills in managing financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of cash flow operations. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in accounts receivable processes, including collections, billing, and cash applications.

Responsibilities:

- Process and manage accounts receivable transactions to ensure timely and accurate recording of all financial activities.

- Oversee commercial collections efforts, maintaining effective communication with clients to resolve outstanding balances.

- Apply cash receipts to customer accounts, ensuring proper allocation and reconciliation.

- Handle billing functions, including preparing invoices and verifying their accuracy before distribution.

- Monitor daily cash activity to ensure proper reporting and compliance with financial standards.

- Investigate and resolve discrepancies related to payments or account balances.

- Generate detailed reports on accounts receivable status, providing insights to management.

- Collaborate with other departments to improve processes and enhance operational efficiency.

- Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements during all financial operations. Requirements - Proven experience in accounts receivable processes, including cash applications and collections.

- Strong knowledge of commercial billing functions and financial reporting.

- Proficiency in managing cash activity and reconciling accounts.

- Excellent communication skills for client interactions and resolving account disputes.

- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling financial data.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines.

- Familiarity with financial software and tools used for accounts receivable operations.

- Understanding of regulatory requirements related to financial transactions.
