Tax Analyst

The opportunity

Delaware North is hiring a Tax Accountant to join our team in Buffalo, New York. As a member of the tax team, you will be responsible for monthly tax compliance, participate in the monthly accounting close process and collaborate on annual compliance. Pay

Minimum Anticipated Maximum Base Salary: $62,354 - $78,100 / year

In addition to base salary, we offer an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based, uncapped sales incentive plan. The advertised pay range represents what we believe at the time of this job posting, that we would be willing to pay for this position. Only in special circumstances, where a candidate has education, training, or experience that far exceeds the requirements for the position, would we consider paying higher than the stated range.

What will you do?

• Collaborate with outside advisers to file monthly sales and property tax returns
• Contribute to the preparation of direct and indirect tax filings
• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations
• Perform tax research for state tax queries, such as nexus
• Assist in the preparation of tax provisions and documentation to support audit readiness
• Support all tax ad-hoc requests as needed

More about you

• Bachelors degree in accounting; tax specialization is highly preferred
• Strong organization, effective time management, and prioritization skills in managing multiple projects
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate successfully with individuals at all levels of the organization
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, tax research, and general ERP experience
• Must be able to work in the US on a permanent basis, without sponsorship
