Our tax function is constantly evolving. This role involves leading tax planning projects, managing teams, and providing up‑to‑the‑minute advisory services to a diverse client base across the real estate, hospitality, and construction sectors.
Key Responsibilities- Lead teams on tax planning projects and deliver reliable tax advice to clients.
- Analyze complex tax operations, identify opportunities and risks, and communicate findings.
- Research current market trends and maintain credibility as a trusted advisor.
- Build client relationships and demonstrate deep industry knowledge.
- Develop clear, intelligent plans to improve clients’ tax activities.
- Supervise professionals, ensuring they have growth opportunities.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related discipline.
- CPA certification or state bar membership; CPA required for advancement.
- 7‑10 years of real estate tax experience in a professional services environment.
- Broad technical knowledge of partnership taxation, REITs, allocations, compliance, due diligence, acquisition/disposition planning, and structuring.
- Experience managing budgets, people, and projects.
- Business development experience.
- Record of excellence in a professional services or tax organization.
- Technical writing and research experience in a tax context.
- Strong prioritization and influencing skills.
- Willingness to travel as needed; hybrid work environment.
- Analytical ability to provide business insights.
- Strong communication and client relationship building.
- Proactive and innovative, questioning existing processes.
- Software proficiency and data handling competence.
- Competitive base salary ranging from $147,400 to $336,800 nationwide (higher ranges for certain metro areas). Compensation is based on education, experience, skills, and geography.
