Position Overview
As part of the Branch Banking team, a Financial Center Banker will acquire an in‑depth knowledge of Northwest products and services to provide financial options to clients through a consultative approach while expanding the banking relationship.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS- Performance Metrics: Meet or exceed performance targets related to customer satisfaction, product sales, and financial wellness conversations. Continuously strive to improve skills and knowledge through training and professional development opportunities.
- Financial Needs Assessment: Conduct comprehensive financial assessments for customers to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for growth. Analyze customer accounts, transactions, and behaviors to offer personalized recommendations.
- Operational Soundness: Ensure compliance with all banking regulations, policies, and procedures. Provide leadership while ensuring efficiency and accuracy in all operational activities and financial center security. Proactively identify areas for improvement and implement strategies to enhance operational effectiveness.
- Leadership & Culture: Represent Northwest Bank culture and deliver exceptional customer service experiences. Address customer concerns and complaints promptly, turning negative experiences into positive ones.
- Customer Engagement: Initiate proactive conversations to build rapport and understand financial objectives, utilizing active listening skills.
- Relationship Building: Build long‑term relationships with customers by providing ongoing support and follow‑up, anticipating needs and proactively offering assistance.
- Compliance & Regulations: Adhere to bank policies, procedures, regulatory requirements, maintain confidentiality and protect customer information.
- Technology Proficiency: Navigate Microsoft Office, bank‑specific software to maximize efficiency.
- Teamwork & Operations: Work as part of a team, adhere to security and dual‑control processes, manage daily branch tasks and opening/closing tasks as needed. Complete other duties and special projects as requested.
- Establish effective working relationships among team members and participate in problem solving and decision making.
- Present and express ideas clearly, both orally and written, suitable for the audience.
- Actively listen to understand, share information and facilitate exchange.
- Set goals, develop tracking systems, and use resources such as time and information effectively.
- Make decisions based on perceptive and analytical processes, exercising good judgment in gray areas.
- Education:
High school diploma or equivalent (preferred). - Work Experience:
1 year of banking and/or retail experience (preferred). Sales experience preferred. Customer service experience preferred. - Other:
