Mergers & Acquisitions​/Corporate Development Financial Analysis Consultant IV; Hybrid in Buff

Overview

Hybrid Corporate Development role focused on M&A analysis and strategic investment support at M&T Bank. Requires in‑office presence four days a week at the One M&T Plaza office in Buffalo, NY.

• Assist in evaluation of potential M&A opportunities, including financial analysis, valuation, structuring, and coordination of due diligence efforts.
• Conduct financial and valuation analysis for acquisition, investment, and divestiture opportunities using discounted cash flow analysis, market multiples, and other tools.
• Lead independent research and complex analytical projects involving financial modeling and forecasting to provide senior management with definitive financial trend data.
• Design and develop moderate‑scope projects, ensuring success through shared responsibility for team workload and achievement of departmental objectives.
• Build and maintain advanced forecasting models and tools; collaborate with business groups to provide insightful analysis.
• Develop clear, concise written summations of analytical work, demonstrating expert‑level financial and accounting knowledge.
• Identify risk‑related issues needing escalation to management and maintain internal control standards in accordance with regulatory requirements.
• Maintain compliance with company risk and regulatory standards and policies.

• Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of five years of experience in corporate development, M&A, accounting, auditing, operations, or financial institutions.
• Associate’s degree and a minimum of seven years’ experience in the same fields.
• Advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, CFA, MBA) is preferred.
• Proficiency in accounting/finance analysis, modeling, querying, and visualization tools.
• Comprehensive understanding of finance and accounting concepts and the ability to work in a fast‑paced banking environment.

Annual salary range: $89,600.00 - $ (USD).
