Job Details- Job Title: Tax Manager
- Reporting To: GVP - Tax
- Work Schedule: Hybrid – Buffalo, NY
- Location: Onsite at Moog’s Corporate Headquarters in East Aurora, NY with hybrid work arrangement
- Build strong relationships with the business across Finance, Legal, HR, IT, and Operations.

- Navigate complexity, adapt to evolving technology and regulatory change, and prioritize key focus areas with sound judgment.
- Provide front-line oversight to ensure work is completed accurately and efficiently.
- Review and coordinate filing of U.S. federal, state, and local income tax returns.
- Review incentive reporting, ensuring milestones are met and communicated to relevant agencies.
- Prepare and review quarterly and annual domestic ASC
740 tax provisions, contributing to GAAP reporting and 10-K/Q disclosures. - Conduct tax research, document technical positions, and issue clear and robust conclusions.
- Manage the IRS Compliance Assurance Process, maintain relations with the IRS, and lead response efforts during state and local audits.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to embed tax considerations into business decisions and processes.
- Act as a trusted advisor to stakeholders on tax-related matters.
- Identify, implement, and scale process improvements and technology solutions to drive efficiency.
- Maintain a proactive stance in addressing evolving business needs and regulatory developments.
- Be visible to the team by providing technical expertise and encouragement while fostering a collaborative environment.
- Required: Bachelor’s degree in accounting
- Minimum of eight (8) years of combined public accounting and industry experience, with tax provision, compliance, and research responsibilities
- Proficiency in US GAAP and ASC
740; working knowledge of GILTI, FDII, BEAT, FTC, and R&D tax credits - Strong written and verbal communication skills, including technical memo writing and stakeholder presentation
- Proven ability to manage audits and maintain strong external partnerships
- Must live local to Buffalo, NY to work onsite; we are unable to provide U.S. sponsorship for this opportunity.
- A Master’s Degree or CPA
- General exposure to indirect taxes
- Experience with tax provision software (e.g., One Source, Corptax), and familiarity with Alteryx, PowerBI, or similar tools for analysis and automation
- Experience developing or executing tax technology/process improvements
- Prior leadership or mentorship experience

Salary Range DisclosureThe base salary range represents the low and high end of the Moog salary range for this position in the given work location. Actual salaries will vary depending on factors including but not limited to location, experience, and performance. The range listed is one component of Moog’s total compensation package. Other rewards may include annual bonuses, employee stock purchase plan, an open paid time off policy, and region-specific benefits.
