Position SummaryThe Portfolio Operations Specialist supports the investment and operations teams by executing portfolio trades for cash management and rebalancing, coordinating qualified plan and outside accounts, and supporting the billing process. This role is ideal for someone who is organized, accurate, and able to adapt to new systems as the industry and firm evolves.
Key Responsibilities Trading & Cash Management- Execute portfolio trades related to client cash management and rebalancing
- Monitor account activity, including deposits, withdrawals, and cash flows, to ensure timely and accurate trade execution
- Identify and escalated trade exceptions or discrepancies as needed
- Monitor and schedule reviews for qualified retirement plan clients
- Prepare reports and meeting materials in advance of qualified plan client meetings
- Coordinate participant documentation, eligibility paperwork, and investment lineup changes as needed
- Prepare reports and gather account data to support the billing process
- Review account listings and values for accuracy
- Update billing spreadsheets and tracking systems
- Maintain accurate account records and documentation across custodial and internal systems
- Support audit, compliance, and SEC documentation requests as needed
- Assist with other operational tasks as priorities evolve
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and recurring deadlines
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a small-team environment
- Experience in financial services or investment operations
- Familiarity with Microsoft 365 core applications
- Knowledge of retirement accounts, qualified plans, and portfolio management processes
Part-time, ideally 20 to 30 hours weekly. Some flexibility with start and end hours.
Compensation commensurate with experience, pay range: $22–$32 per hour
