Duties

The incumbent is responsible for developing, organizing, analyzing, coordinating, and improving Education Service's Veteran-facing information resources.

The incumbent applies expert knowledge of VA education benefit programs, policy requirements, business processes, public information resources, and program analysis methods to ensure Veterans, Service members, eligible dependents, and beneficiaries receive clear, consistent, and authoritative information regarding VA education benefits.

The incumbent coordinates work across Education Service offices and with VBA and VA partners to support timely implementation of policy, legislative, operational, and information resource updates.

Plans, coordinates, and carries out assigned Veteran Information Services initiatives that improve Veteran access to education benefit information and support consistent delivery of authoritative information across Education Service.

Develops short- and long-range project plans, implementation schedules, milestones, operating procedures, and analytical approaches for assigned information resource initiatives.

Identifies required actions, dependencies, risks, resource needs, and coordination requirements necessary to complete projects within established time frames.

Coordinates assigned projects involving Veteran facing websites, the GI Bill Comparison Tool, educational resources, webinars, information products, and other official information platforms. Works with the Chief, Veteran Information Services, other subject matter experts, business lines, and program offices to define project scope, establish priorities, and ensure work products are aligned with Education Service mission requirements.

Analyzes legislative, regulatory, policy, operational, and program changes to determine the impact on Veteran-facing education information resources.

Recommends updates to content, procedures, workflows, business rules, and governance practices to ensure information remains accurate, current, accessible, and responsive to changing requirements.

Develops and recommends policies, procedures, performance measures, process controls, and governance practices to improve information quality, timeliness, consistency, and accountability.

Provides analytical support to the Chief, Veteran Information Services, in establishing program priorities and evaluating the effectiveness of information delivery activities.

Work Schedule

Full-time, Monday through Friday 8am-4:30pm
