Salary Range: $55,000 - $70,000/annually

Pay is based on years of related human services experience

Job Summary

The Intensive Treatment Program (ITP) will include working with adolescents, typically 12 – 18 years old that are diagnosed on the Autism spectrum with mental health concerns and developmental or intellectual disabilities. The Residential Manager for the ITP functions in a leadership capacity, focusing upon staff development and service delivery to children and their families. The Residential Manager is responsible for overseeing the operation of their assigned site(s).

They directly supervise, coach and mentor Behavior Technicians to insure that the highest possible quality of life and personal achievement can be obtained.

Job Duties

Responsible for the operation, either directly or through delegation, of their assigned work site(s).

Ensures site(s) are operating in accordance with all relevant regulations and OLV Human Services policies, including fiscal parameters.

Provides positive role model to co-workers and staff.

Effectively resolves concerns related to management of assigned site(s) and/or seeks direction from their Director.

Responsible for direct supervision, coaching, orienting, role modeling and evaluating assigned staff, by providing supervision, bi-weekly or as needed, and evidenced through supervision notes and probationary and annual evaluations.

Interviews/hires/trains appropriate candidates to maintain a high quality and effective team including TCI training/testing.

Shares responsibility with other supervisors to cover staffing phone to ensure appropriate coverage/ratios and safety in every unit.

Reviews and submits UTM documentation to ensure accurate payroll submission.

Conducts monthly environmental check-list and partners with maintenance staff to ensure a welcoming and safe environment.

Provides documentation of information/review of documentation (client daily logs, communication log, census sheets, meal count sheets etc.) and ensures assigned staff are providing meaningful documentation.

Responsible for completing SIRs, limited Fact Finding and working in conjunction with QI for investigations.

Maintains PEX/petty cash for unit, distributes chore money and any other necessary funds and clothing allotment, and ensures site has necessary supplies for clients and staff.

Facilitates daily debriefs and weekly staff meetings including SIR reviews and post crisis response. (weekly supervisor meeting and bi weekly department meeting).

Maintains appropriate and regular communication with all other departments (Business office, Housekeeping, H.R. etc.).

Assists Director in maintaining contact with family members, court representatives, county workers, school personnel and other individuals involved in client’s treatment.

Minimum Degree

Required:

High School Diploma (Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree preferred)

Experience

5 years applicable prior experience with HS Diploma OR 3 years with Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree

Required License/Registration/ Certification

NYS Driver’s License

Training

Continuing education as per NYS Office of Profession guidelines
All required agency trainings (including Applied Behavior Analysis, SCIP-R)
All trainings required by programs in which you service individuals

Physical Requirements

The overall nature of the position is sedentary requiring little physical effort with occasional light physical exertion required. There is little, if any, exposure to environmental conditions.

• The constant physical demands of the position are standing, walking, talking, and hearing.

• The frequent physical demands of the position are sitting. Climbing, repetitive motions, and eye/hand/foot coordination.

• The occasional physical demands of the position are lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, balancing, stooping, crouching, reaching, handling, grasping, and feeling.
