SummaryUnder the direction of a Radiologist and/or a Site Manager / Director, performs a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment, ingenuity and initiative in the application of non-ionizing high frequency ultrasound waves. After post hire training, an Ultrasound technologist will demonstrate the ability to, and perform, a variety of technical procedures at a proficient level. Ultrasound technologists will participate in after hours and weekend call rotations as required by site specific expectations.
ResponsibilitiesResponsibilities such as performing ultrasound procedures, collaborating with radiology staff, managing patient care, and maintaining equipment are expected as detailed in the summary.
Qualifications- Graduate of an Approved School of Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Ultrasonography
- Registered as an Ultrasound sonographer with either the ARRT or ARDMS
- Registered as a Vascular Technologist with one of the following credentialing organizations:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Vascular Sonography RT(VS) - American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
- Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)
- BLS Preferred
- One (1) year experience as an RVT required
- Registered as an ARDMS (RVT), ARRT (RT-VS), or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS).
- Graduate of an Approved School of Radiologic Technology or Diagnostic Ultrasonography
- Registered as an Ultrasound sonographer with either the ARRT or ARDMS
- Registered as a Vascular Technologist with one of the following credentialing organizations:
American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT), Vascular Sonography RT(VS) - American Registry of Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS). Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT)
- Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI), Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS)

- Registered as an ARDMS (RVT), ARRT (RT-VS), or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS).

- Good general health necessary in order to stand and walk most of the day. Must have the ability to pull, push, and lift patients and equipment.
