The Department of Communicative Disorders and Sciences (CDS) at the University at Buffalo, The State University of New York invites applications for a full‑time, twelve‑month term position in Clinical Speech‑Language Pathology. Appointment will be made at the rank of Clinical Assistant or Clinical Associate Professor depending on candidate profile. Areas of faculty interest must include clinical experience/expertise in differential diagnosis and treatment of adult neurogenic motor speech disorders and dysphagia.
Experience with a variety of treatment methods and paradigms (individual/group/tele‑practice) is desired. Applicants must be skilled in evidence‑based practice and clinical education.
- Provide clinical speech‑language pathology services in our UB Audiology and Speech‑Language Pathology Clinic and in the community.
- Educate and train graduate MA‑SLP students in our clinic and in the community.
- Develop a specialty clinic in the faculty’s specialty area.
- Manage administration related to clinical training and clinical operations.
- Develop interprofessional and collaborative clinical relationships within and outside the university community.
- Teach 1‑2 academic courses across the calendar year.
- Participate in service to the department, college, university and the profession.
