Director of Perioperative Services

This position provides leadership to a high-volume surgical services department that has a large robotic program within a community hospital setting. The role includes comprehensive oversight of staff, budget management, and quality assurance initiatives. The leader serves as the designated authority in the Chief Nursing Officer's absence and maintains current knowledge of perioperative care standards and practices. This role reports to the site CNO and functionally to the system VP for Surgical Services.

Provides leadership to designated patient care and service delivery areas, including oversight of staff, budget and quality issues. Assumes responsibility as delegated for the facility in the absence of the Chief Nursing Officer. Maintains up-to-date knowledge of standards of care and practice for the peri‑operative area. Leads complex teams and program development.

• Current NYS registration as a Registered Professional Nurse required.
• Bachelor's degree in health care or related field required.
• Master's degree in nursing/healthcare or Business Administration or a related field required.

• Five (5) years of experience in Surgical Services.
• Five (5) years of progressive management experience, including budget/financial systems, quality improvement, and knowledge of regulatory and accrediting agency standards.
• Experience in leading complex teams and program development.
• Excellent organizational and pre‑cognitive skills. Clinical experience in the area preferred.
