Position Summary
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated MRI Technologist to join our team. The MRI Technologist will be responsible for operating Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI) equipment to produce high-quality diagnostic images, ensuring patient safety and comfort throughout the process. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of MRI procedures, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
Key Responsibilities- Operate MRI scanners to capture detailed images of patients’ internal structures, such as the brain, spinal cord, muscles, joints, and organs.
- Prepare patients for MRI exams by explaining procedures, positioning them appropriately, and ensuring their comfort and safety.
- Review physician orders to determine the appropriate MRI protocols and conduct imaging procedures in line with diagnostic requirements.
- Monitor patients during imaging to ensure their safety and provide reassurance when needed.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, including imaging results and related data.
- Collaborate with radiologists and other medical professionals to assess images and assist with diagnoses.
- Ensure proper maintenance and calibration of MRI equipment to guarantee optimal performance and safety.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including infection control practices, radiation safety, and MRI-specific guidelines.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including sterilization and cleaning of equipment.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing patient concerns and offering clear instructions before, during, and after the MRI procedure.
- Participate in ongoing education and training to stay updated on advancements in MRI technology and healthcare standards.
- ARRT Certification
- BLS Certification
- 1 year MRI Technologist experience
- $3466 per week total gross for 40 hours
- $1246 non-taxable housing and meals stipends included in the total gross
