Position Summary

As Buffalo Homecare aggressively expands into new and underserved areas, we are seeking a dedicated and experienced Field Recruiter. The Field Recruiter is responsible for going into the community and conducting recruiting efforts – identifying, attracting, and hiring qualified candidates to support the agency’s staffing needs.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, interview, and hire qualified candidates, primarily for Personal Care Aide (PCA) positions.
• Conduct field-based recruitment by traveling to different communities, neighborhoods, and targeted locations throughout Western New York.
• Identify and establish recruitment opportunities in communities where Buffalo Homecare has staffing needs.
• Attend and represent Buffalo Homecare at job fairs, career fairs, community events, hiring events, and other recruitment opportunities.
• Create and host mobile hiring and recruitment events in targeted communities.
• Build relationships with community organizations, workforce development agencies, schools, community centers, churches, local businesses, and other organizations that can connect Buffalo Homecare with potential candidates.
• Conduct in-person outreach and recruitment activities to identify candidates who may not be reached through traditional online job postings.
• Develop and distribute high-quality recruitment flyers, posters, and other recruitment materials.
• Post job openings across multiple platforms and actively source applicants.
• Use social media, community outreach, networking, and grassroots recruitment strategies to attract candidates.
• Screen resumes, conduct interviews, and coordinate the hiring process.
• Follow up with candidates throughout the recruitment and onboarding process to help move qualified applicants toward employment.
• Support the HR department with onboarding, employee files, documentation, and compliance tracking.
• Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities, outreach efforts, candidates, interviews, and hiring outcomes.
• Track recruitment results by location and identify which communities and outreach strategies are producing qualified candidates.
• Develop creative and targeted recruitment strategies for underserved and hard-to-staff areas.
• Identify new locations and opportunities where Buffalo Homecare can establish a presence and attract potential employees.
• Collaborate with the HR and management teams to understand staffing needs and prioritize recruitment efforts by location.
• Ensure adherence to company policies and applicable state and federal regulations.
• Represent Buffalo Homecare in a professional and positive manner throughout all community outreach and recruitment activities.

Qualifications

· Previous experience in healthcare recruitment (required).

· Strong organizational and communication skills.

· Ability to self-direct and work independently with minimal supervision.

· Knowledge of homecare field a plus.

· Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

· Cellphone, laptop, and mileage reimbursement provided

Schedule

· Monday to Friday

· Occasional evening or weekend (for community job fair events)
