Our company has an opening for a skilled and motivated IT and Power Platform Specialist with experience in comprehensive technical support of computer systems and network infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in Microsoft technologies, experience developing solutions using Microsoft Power Platform, and be comfortable providing in-house customer service to their colleagues. We are seeking a committed, detail-oriented individual to join our technology support team.
This position will work out of our Buffalo, NY office. Our offices follow a hybrid work model, and flexibility to work remotely for specific circumstances is available.
The base salary range for this position is $55,000 – $80,000
. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
- Maintain and support Microsoft-based environments, including Windows OS, Azure, Office 365, SharePoint, and Active Directory.
- Manage and secure digital files, ensuring organized storage, easy access, and compliance with company policies.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to develop and maintain custom business applications using the Microsoft Power Platform.
- Assist in the administration and monitoring of network infrastructure and security protocols.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop and maintain custom business applications using Microsoft Power Apps.
- Automate/script IT and data management processes using Python, Power Shell, or other scripting languages.
- Provide day-to-day technical support for company-owned computers, printers, and network devices.
- Troubleshoot hardware, software, and connectivity issues across the organization.
- Document technical procedures, configurations, and support resolutions.
- Support, and possibly assist development of, and employee training for, company technology policies and IT security.
- In partnership with Marketing Coordinator, provide technical support for the company’s website.
- BS in Computer Science, Information Technology, or other related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in IT support roles, preferably in a professional services environment.
- Proficiency with Microsoft products including Windows, Office 365, and Teams, and SharePoint.
- Experience with the Microsoft Power Platform, especially Power App and Power Automate.
- Experience using Power BI to analyze and summarize data.
- Familiarity with SQL Server.
- Knowledge of networking concepts and Azure Network environments.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

Gomez and Sullivan has been providing specialized engineering, environmental science, and data management solutions to the water resource and energy sectors since 1993. Our staff of approximately 50 individuals based in New York (Utica, Buffalo, Albany) and New Hampshire (Henniker) provides core services including dam safety, engineering, hydropower licensing, environmental studies, hydrology and hydraulics, fisheries and fish passage, stream and habitat restoration, and information management and geographic information systems.
