Overview
Job Summary
The Business Technology Sr Manager utilizes technical expertise, business acumen, strategic execution, relationship and leadership skills to lead a team in designing, developing, implementing and maintaining a set of interrelated technology platforms that deliver on the strategic technology and operational objectives of the Consumer line of business.

- Technology Strategy & Leadership:

Appropriate use of onshore/offshore mix;
Build and lead strong teams of analysts, PMs, engineers, developers, vendors;
Drive engagement, capability building, and delivery excellence;
Support talent attraction and development. - Project Leadership:
Manage complex technology portfolios, including critical applications;
Lead large-scale multi-year technology programs end-to-end on budget and timeline;
Ensure delivery to defined success measures; escalate and mitigate risks. - Operations & Production Support:
Oversee 24/7 production support including vulnerability remediation and risk management;
Define and deliver on continuous improvement objectives, leveraging GenAI to enhance productivity.
- Manages a technology portfolio of greater complexity and breadth with frequent collaboration across multiple groups and technologies, including one or more critical applications.
- Utilize technology expertise, industry knowledge and best practices to build and maintain the technology strategy for one or more lines of business; bring emerging technologies into the organization to assess potential and use cases; demonstrate thought leadership and continuous learning.
- Lead the implementation of technology programs, some spanning several years, including sponsorship and steering committee approvals; oversee development, configuration, testing, and implementation; deliver in alignment with measures of success; escalate risk and lead corrective actions; provide regular updates on progress.
- Oversee 24/7 production support of applications including vulnerability remediation and risk management to corporate SLAs.
- Manage, develop and ensure engagement and effective execution of a small to medium size team (business analysts, project managers, engineers, developers, external resources and vendors) and attract/develop internal and external talent.
- Performs other duties as assigned; duties may change or be added at any time with or without notice.
- Complies with all Key Bank policies and procedures, including acting professionally, conducting business ethically, avoiding conflicts of interest, and acting in the best interests of Key’s clients and Key.
- Bachelor s Degree (preferred)
- OR equivalent experience (required)
- 7+ years of relevant experience (required)
- Expert knowledge of and the ability to consult on development and delivery of new or enhanced business applications.
- Extensive experience with customer-centric decision-making and delivering customized solutions.
- Expert knowledge of IT marketplace trends and how to apply them to benefit the organization.
- Extensive experience with project management, including agile methods, to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects.
- Ability to maintain big-picture thinking and organizational acumen.
- Experience with innovation and developing new ideas to improve performance.
- Knowledge of quality management methods and creating environments that meet quality goals.
- Experience delivering fee-based software products.
- Experience with tools and toolkits for development and support of applications.
- Ability to define, implement changes to, and support production applications.
- Experience collaborating with stakeholders to support organizational vision and strategies.
- Experience influencing decisions and guiding cross-organizational collaboration.
- Experience with decision-making processes and analytical judgment.
- Experience building and leading effective teams.
